Collecting your personal information
Usually the personal information we collect about you is the information included in your application, CV or resume; for example your name, postal address, home telephone number, mobile number, e-mail address, qualifications, career history, details of any competency tests and information relating to your career.
Sometimes we collect sensitive information about you such as information about your membership of a professional or trade association or trade union; your health (including any disability), your racial or ethnic origin or any criminal record that you may have. Where we collect this type of information we will obtain your consent.
Your personal information is only collected for one or more of the following purposes:
- finding you a new job or retaining an existing one
- helping in your career performance or management;
- benchmarking or analyzing the agency market place
- recording tests or assessments you may undertake
On occasions we will seek personal information about you from a third party; for example, from your nominated referees, when receiving the results of a psychological or competency tests, or obtaining performance feedback about your work from our client. In these instances Rize will always try to obtain prior authorisation from you in order to obtain personal information about you from a third party. However, Rize may obtain such information without authorisation if it is not reasonably practicable to do so or if other similar circumstances exist.
If we engage third party contractors to perform services for us which involve handling personal information we take reasonable steps to prohibit the contractor from using that personal information except for the purposes for which it was supplied.
If you choose not to provide personal information
If you choose not to provide us with the information we seek we may be limited in our ability to provide you with the benefits of our full range of services.
Information provided using our websites
When you access our websites, we gather information about all of our users collectively, such as what areas users visit most frequently and the services users access the most. We only use such data anonymously and in the aggregate. This information helps us to continually create a better overall service for you.
In order to provide you with the highest standard of services we may store your personal information on a server overseas. By providing personal information via our websites you agree your information may be transferred to servers located overseas
Your Rights
The Privacy Act / Data Protection Act sets out your rights to see and have a copy of and amend personal and sensitive information about you which is held by us. If you wish to exercise this right, please contact us as follows:

You have the option of having your details deleted from Rize’s database at any time, upon request.
Our Duties
We may disclose your personal information to:
- potential or actual employers
- organisations that conduct competency or psychometric tests related to a position for which you are being put forward
- referees
- a workers compensation body
- suppliers of services to us i.e. database designers
- persons with lawful entitlement to the data i.e. in some circumstances the local police / immigration authorities etc
- educational or vocational organisations to the extent necessary to verify your qualifications.
- statutory bodies in connection with any work-place accident or incident
- our insurance companies
We will not pass on any personal information without the consent of the candidate or the referee. Personal information passed to us by clients will be treated in the same way.
We will not sell, rent or license to anyone else personal information provided to us by our Candidates When the information is no longer of use to us, we will destroy it in a manner that protects the privacy of the individual.
Where possible we collect personal information directly from the source – you! However, sometimes it may be necessary to take down this information when you deal with us by telephone, letter, fax, e-mail, or via our website. Because sensitive data cannot always be guaranteed to be secure when transmitted over the internet we do not warrant the security of personal information sent to us in this way, however, we will try to ensure that it is secure on our own systems.
Feedback and Candidate Satisfaction Surveys
Our websites contain opportunities for you to supply feedback and additionally we may send you a Candidate Satisfaction survey to complete. Any feedback that is submitted through these means will become the property of Rize Recruitment Ltd. We may use this feedback i.e. success stories, for marketing purposes, or to contact you for further feedback on the site.
